What makes this website different is that once you become a paid member you are treated like a Lishi Student rather than a customer. We take great care in sending out status and new feature emails on a regular basis. We also encourage our members to provide website feedback and ask us questions. We believe that this philosophy is more like the teacher student relationship and helps the learning process. Again, this website’s goal is to teach you to Learn to Lishi.
Originally the content on this website was destined to be published in written format and sold as a series of books. However, to discourage copyright infringement, the printed content was repurposed into this site. The website concept has the added advantage of being dynamic and changing as new Lishi tools and information are encountered. Keep in mind that pages which are being developed will sometimes be hidden from view and result in a login message. Other times, under development pages will display messages or notes about their status.
One of the more unique features of this website, it that it contains a lot of older, almost forgotten locksmithing techniques. In this age of computerized key machines and social media groups, some traditional locksmithing skills are being lost in favor of purchasing keycodes and relying on others to get jobs done. I have revisited some of the manual locksmithing techniques that have served the industry well and published them on this website to keep true locksmithing alive.
