As a locksmith myself, I love My Original Lishi Tools. These amazing tools have always made my job far easier and more profitable. To share my Lishi tool passion, I have created this site. This site gives me a platform to share my passion for these incredible tools with my website members. The bulk of this page offers an overview of the site and how you can take advantage of its many features. As a long time teacher and educator, my goal is to turn site members into Lishi Locksmiths by teaching them to Learn to Lishi.
A Bit of Background
The TheLishiLocksmith.com website is an on going effort to teach locksmiths and security professionals how to use Original Lishi tools. The suggested audience for this website are locksmiths and security professionals but others that want to learn more about Lishi tools are welcome too. Keep in mind that currently, website membership is only open to members that reside in the United States and Canada.
Joining Us
After you join our paid membership area, take a few moments and poke around the site to see what features it has. I have designed this website so that you can bookmark or create shortcuts to some of the pages to allow for fast access. However, keep in mind that direct page access will require that you login to view the actual page content. While this website is viewable on tablets and mobile devices, it is best viewed on desktop or laptop computers.
What makes TheLishiLocksmith.com different is that once you become a paid member you are treated like a Lishi Student rather than a customer. I take great care in sending out status and new feature emails on a regular basis. I also encourage members to provide website feedback and ask questions. I believe that this philosophy is more like the teacher student relationship and helps the learning process. Again, my website’s goal is to teach you to Learn to Lishi.

Your Lishi educational journey starts with our paid members homepage. This page is your home base so to speak, for all of the paid content on our website. On this page, there are many different educational tools to help you learn not only about Lishi tools but basic lock and key theory as well.

Lishi Tool Search Methods
The Lishi tool search feature is very handy when you’re looking for tool specific information. Here is a general overview of the search methods.
- Lishi Tool YMM Search – Provides a dropdown list of the makes and models of vehicles that have supported Lishi tools.
- Lishi Tool Name Search – A list of applicable tools appears as you type the tool name.
- Automotive Lishi Reference – An automotive Lishi tool graphical application guide that helps with tool selection using visual images.
- Motorcycle Lishi Reference – A motorcycle tool application guide that also includes AccuReader references that helps with tool selection using visual images.
- Lishi Tool Quick Reference – Provides a list oriented display of tool applications based upon the vehicle manufacturer.
Make, Model and Year Searches
When using this method, the results show tools associated with the selected vehicles or lock system. If you click on one of the results, the resulting webpage provides detail information not only about the selected Lishi tool but the locking system that it is used in too.
There are four drop down menus in the Lishi Tool Search area. Each one helps to narrow the search results until the tools associated with your selection is displayed. These dropdown menus allow the selection of the following criteria:
- Make – The first dropdown menu allows you to select the manufacturer of the target lock or vehicle.
- Model – The second dropdown menu allows you to select the model of the target vehicle.
- Year – The final dropdown menu allows you to select the year that the target vehicle was manufactured.
Once you have selected all the criteria in the Lishi Tool YMM Search area, the website automatically displays a list of Lishi tools that apply only to the selected items that was chosen in the four dropdown menus. In the example to the right, these are the four Lishi tools that would work on the Y159 keyway found in the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Please Note: You can select residential and commercial tools by selecting the keyway.
